15.07.2023I just hope that they bring Prowler Mode back, it was so fun and dynamic with different sub-styles and being able to hunt from our companions alongside the saga. Similar to that I think we need a new weapon or a buff in different styles of combat, buff mushrommancer, increase rewards for playing a support role with wide range bc the tendency to max everything to damage and critics and crit buff I think is getting old. I'd hope more exploration and harvesting for this next title and the reward for this quest is a much rich storytelling and lore of Monster Hunter alongside an incredible story to the single player mode

14.07.2023Wirebug esque dodging would be nice to keep for the slower weapons that have trouble tracking monsters like malzeno and velkhana even if they are more toned down they'd be much appreciated. Also more aerial moves should be common place for all weapons

14.07.2023Need to power up normal monsters. There’s a lot of non elders monsters that require recognitions.
For elders, its best to treat them as mythical beings again like in the older gen, kinda rare instead of appearing in every map.

14.07.2023i would love more monsters that have a connection being shown in combat, like with bond attacks. hell yeah, in lore, rathalos and rathain mate for like… well the 1 head wife i guess for the rathalos, since the desert rathians are shown to have offspring but an adult rathalos never visits, sticking to the more lively/food supply rich forests and volcanoes i guess… "i'd rather try finding food in a volcano than see my mistress again." yeah, rathalos is the male of the species but the lore suggests in a few bits of info that he chooses his mates and also guards the nest. in the world of monster hunter, in more lively habitats, it makes sense that the stronger of the 2 is prioritizing protecting the young so a nargacuga or whatever doesn't eat them where rathain would be more easily outmatched. rathain's lore also states that they are the ones with an innate super sense of "i have to go now, my planet (nest) needs me" meaning it's not necessarily just desert rathains that do this. what if the rathalos is dead with living kids? aptanoth/other herbavours don't take much to kill so the weaker one being in charge of killing them makes sense in more uncertain times, more dangerous monsters in greater numbers. i'd love to see quests like the seasonal cycle thing, mating season causing black diablos/white monoblos and the raths pairing up with unique AI as bonded pairs. sticking together more, combo attacks unique to this, and crazy aggression if they see you kill the other one. admittedly, that last one is 1 of the few good things from Frontier that could be adapted in main line without issue.
yes, have monsters that are normally at each others' throats but if hunters are in the zone they start proritizing you more than normal and have combo attacks.
turf wats, keep Rise's more unique animations but scrap the post turf war/overkill anti wyvern riding AI and i'll be a happy man. keep but fix turf wars, best of both is easily implemented. the back and fourth he's describing is basically the MHW AI, they target whoever and after time or damage they leave but smaller more frequent turf war like actions would be cool in the duration.
switch skills… nah, i trust the other team more with this but still nah. it's a mess when even base weapons the balancing is questionable already. switch skills were also mostly just an excuse to make every weapon LS so it sours the idea to the point where it's almost we need to weait like underwater combat. a few examples, it ruined lance, fast tracked eliminated half the point of as and cb where the later was "we clunk up your flow to sell you more counters". in retrospect it was a mess. some good ideas though, don't get me wrong. also many prefer the MHW flow as the sweet spot. permanently going the Rise rout would invalidate the 2 teams a bit, MHW is the more core mechanics, where Rise is silly side stuff for an even more arcady feel.
i do trust them to do underwater combat again, after all these years. there's so much they can do with cool monsters and all they have to do is not ruin our movement as much while yes making the monster faster than us in water with attack angles in the 3rd dimension a lot more. i love the idea of weapon attacks being angled by the camera so you can be creative with positioning/not be as restricted by the animations of your best attacks/combos.

14.07.2023So a gimmick I have always wanted to see that you touched on a bit in the vid is monster fusion. I dont know to what degree but something that would maybe allow a monster to absorb the element or unqiue fighting style of a monster they beat in a turf war or just out right pull some actually body fusing idk lol. What would be cool to see is perhaps that fusion carrying over to weapons and armor. Such fusions could unlock a new weapon tree for a specific weapon after youve acquired the proper upgrades and encountered the proper monsters. For armor, yes we can already mix and match armor parts, but with this gimmick, combining certian armor pieces together could unlock higher tier skills, maybe more slots, and increase stats. Just something I thought could evolve the game a bit more with more unique monster fights, more challenging quest that actually throw in some surprises just keep it fresh and you as a hunter more pressed to adapt to situations that involve whatever fused monster you might come across at random. And of course adding a new level of complexity to crafting and really going crazy with unique builds

14.07.2023I want the slinger, switch skills, turf wars, bond attacks and whatever new stuff Capcom might make.
Nat. M. Portant
14.07.2023I would want to keep Palemutes. Let me keep petting my good pupper!
Ptollemios
14.07.2023I! WANT! GUNNER ARMOR! I don't want the divide of having to craft each separately. I want the armor designs to be combined into one piece, and when you're using Gunner weapons, it looks like gunner armor, when you're using a Blademaster weapon, it looks like Blademaster.
I MISS GUNNER ARMOR DESIGNS!

14.07.2023i hope they bring back the underwater combat and dont bring back the wirebugs, even tho i really liked them, but it made the game to easy in a way

12.07.2023Wherever we go, i'd love for the movement to come with. Rise felt so much better to move around in. I'd love to experience a modern take on underwater combat tho

12.07.2023I liked wirebugs. Added some dynamics to the hunts and eased traversal if you went with a palico (multiplayer). I want to see that return, with the tracking mechanic from World.

12.07.2023jaggi: bond atk

12.07.2023ever since I played 3 I haven't ever had as much fun hunting leviathans, like fighting Lagi in 3 was fun and interesting, but after that it just became another basic lightning monster

12.07.2023I don’t know why people are hating the clutch claw. I personally like it 😂
Frank Allen
12.07.2023I never used switch skills because I never bothered to remember it was a thing. And since I was completely done at hr7 it never left an impression.

12.07.2023Clutch counter was perfect for the lance

12.07.2023I’d love to see a new take on prowler mode. Have prowler mode come back or make it as a mini game? Essentially allows it to be played as normally but also be used to scout or maybe do things that can give you special materials like when you send your meowcenaries on expeditions

11.07.2023I actually loved swimming I actually loved how much harder it made some fights I also love the Plesioth and would love to fight it in the water

11.07.2023Monster Hunter is getting better because both teams consistently trying new ideas and bring forwards their best new mechanics and concepts to newer installment.
Wordgoblin
11.07.2023Switch skills for sure. I would force wirebugs to not be in any future iteration of the game.
Superbeaste
11.07.2023Palamutes?
John Lewandoski
11.07.2023I want stances and I loved the murder pickle using jagras as a chew toy and weapon.
S SMIT
11.07.2023Its a good idea but if taken too far it just becomes a gimmick of "OK now we always fight 2 monsters"
Murasama
11.07.2023one thing ive always wanted is for us to be able to actually use monsters like use them to fight with us. Imagine a mission where you needed to befriend a monster to fight a even bigger and stronger monster. I think it would be awesome to do that. We basically did it in mhw where we befriended a pukei pukei for the witcher colab. I hope it becomes a actual feature

11.07.2023Wanted new weapons lol

11.07.2023Now that they've put palamutes into Monster Hunter in Monster Hunter Rise I don't want a Monster Hunter game where we just have the palicos

11.07.2023Why not a real open world where random monster attack the base ..and you are on the hub .. you can go outside quickly since it's an open world ..

11.07.2023I wanted to let you know that we actually have more info on MH6. Their company intends to be playable for the next Nintendo switch, which is being released next year like in February based on speculation. We can imply that MH6 will be playable on that console and it’s specs, like 4K graphics, 8gbs of ram, etc. Meaning we know that MH6 has more reasoning to provide better graphics. Also the timing of the switch release feels very close to the MH6 release so I feel like Nintendo and the MH6 developers have already been communicating to provide MH6 as a Nintendo Switch 2 release tittle. Anyways think about it. ❤ u

11.07.2023I agree with you on all of those, but one i think they should keep from rise is switch skills. Having the ability to switch out your skills to make your own fighting style is great. I think they should further expand on this and bring in even more skills. Something like 3-4 skills for each variety of major attack. I know generations kiiiiiinda did this first, but it felt like a after thought on Generations.
Deviljoegaming
11.07.2023Switch skills were neat but if it were to return I would much prefer generations version
Deviljoegaming
11.07.2023Underwater combat gets too much hate. Sure it was clunky on a wii but when you emulate tri and use a normal console controller it feel so much better, not perfect but a lot better than it was
Deviljoegaming
11.07.2023It's sad that hammer was one of the only weapons that was fun with clutch claw so everyone thinks that mechanic sucks.
Crimson Clover
11.07.2023Do we know when MH6 will arrive?
C 17
11.07.2023I started with World and thats were most poeple get their first encounter with the series. So MH6 should get as much similar things as world to be good. Less eastern style (asian villiages and clothes…), more like World! The UI in world is much better then Rise (ugly life bar dimensions and so on) and also DLSS 2/3/DLAA would be nice. Grafics in World were obviously much better and should get more improved. Rise was better with Palico development for skills and armor. They should get the best things from last MH-games in one new title. Even if we see something in the past it doesnt mean its bad now. But some things should not return.

09.07.2023Gonna be aerial combat
Gen Draconis
09.07.2023I think the iron boots idea could work but water combat should make it so the hunter is bad at underwater at first but gradually unlock more skills to traverse underwater kind alike a Clutch Claw/Wire bug tool but specifically for underwater combat.
Like the leviathans are in their prime territory underwater and are better at it.
While yes some monster do go on land when exhausted or forcibly pulled out of water.
I think tools like a Harpoon, or some short of tool that doesn’t make you on the same level as a lugiacrus or Pleisoth in mobility but allows you to have a fair fighting chance against more speedier and dangerous monsters that excell in water combat.
Hell there could be a lore bit where thanks to the Village in Generation 3 as well Clutch Claw technology or even Wire bugs they decided to make something that may take skill to fully master but is quite useful when swimming in the wide spaces of deep blue.
Matt G
09.07.2023I think we need to take the Switch Skill thing and expand on it. Add more skills, make them upgradeable via weapon-specific quests (you must be using the weapon to post the quest), add ways to modify the skill even, like a mini skill tree system, i.e. your Sword and Shield tree has a perk that changes Destroyer Oil to 'Enhancer Oil' which vastly increases elemental and status damages for the duration but at the cost of the boosted raw damage. We already 'level up' in a way via our Hunter Rank so just tie the amount of points you get to that but with a cap. I think this could really help people to tailor their builds to their preferred playstyle or weapon choice.
GrimDaggz
09.07.2023Other than MONSTERS, I want Capcom to bring BOTH Clutch Claw AND Wirebugs/Switch Skills back. Let the player choose their style. East meets west. Have it be the unity between 2 worlds, Monster Hunter WorldS. Capcom already have both developed, then introduce a hybrid mix of both, a Clutch Bug/Wire Claw as it were for Master Rank.
But they'll probably introduce a new hunting friend gimmick like an attack bird or an expansion of the Palamute.
RED
09.07.2023For me, my dream MH game would be a more MMO-like MH with up to 8 or 16 player giant monster raids, guild housing and all that MMO social goodness, new weapons, Mantles, Wire Bugs, Switch Skills, Monster Riding like in OG World, or the clutch claw YEET, which is okay too (because it's essentially the same but faster), Turf Wars, and Bond attacks. I think that's all, unless they can create something similar but better than any or all of these.
When it comes to a new gimmick, that's a tough one because it could be interesting, but it could be bad too. Also, what are they going to make, y'know? So, as much as I wouldn't mind it, I'd prefer if they would just refine the good things and gimmicks we already have and like instead and try to make the best MH possible with what we already have.
gaming is pleasure
09.07.2023hope the next monster hunter will be better than rise… leveling anomaly quests is boring as hell, collecting birds for extra atk,def etc unnecessary, melding is also crap and fix those "bugs" like I parry monster attack with LS but get full dmg
