22.12.2022I don't get the negativity over Panthera. When you are training F1 pilots, you don't care whether they can crash onto buildings realistically or whether the collision physics are realistic. Because if you have a collision in real-life F1, it's over for you. All that matters is that the vehicle behaves as realistically on each surface as possible, and my guess is that Racer does this well because that's where all the development effort went into, not collision physics.

22.12.2022I used to play this weird racing game on our family's old HP. It was called Wildtangent speedway. You just drove by yourself trying to be your own time. For the time though having a 3d racing game was just cool to have.

The Panthera's crash physics are garbage because I bet 99% of the work went into their tire and suspension physics models. It's purely a research/work tool.
