08.10.2022Retro Max was awesome. Would love to have venders like that in the North West . I’m in Portland not to far from Seattle and our fleaMarkets have never really rebounded from the pandemic. Just more crime .

07.10.2022whoa. im sprised you didnt check out Eco town. thats a japanese store in honolulu that got games and more. also, you should check out Kauai. thats more island life than oahu. Big Island is pretty big so you could mix in both islands in one trip. if you wanna go more into the islands you could also go to eithere Molokai or Lanai. Lanai is the smallest island. heck you could go maui and ride a boat to lanai.

07.10.2022Damn Metal Jesus…..you were literally next to my house (by the Swap Meet). Glad you enjoyed the Island!

07.10.2022That jungle fun arcade has been there since I was a kid. There use to be some classic arcades in the other malls but they finally closed down a few years ago. The original buy and trade store on Oahu was toys and joys but they retired and closed about a decade ago. I recently found a used game at book off that had a toys and joys sticker on it and I had to buy it just for that reason!!!

07.10.2022I'm genuinely surprised how over developed Huwaai is. What a shame no wonder the local people are trying to protect what's left. Great video though, your travels show all the places how they are so always extra interesting.

07.10.2022Imagine living on the rainy side of the island lol.

06.10.2022Retro Max sounds a lot like guy I know Casino Jay. He had a stall at the local flea market and let people test and bring back games if there were issues. Sadly that flea market is gone. Good news is he has a store now and has been a good long time friend.

06.10.2022I would assume it's difficult to find good stuff here considering how salty the air is. A guy wanted $90 for a Pokemon Gold that was so corroded I didn't think it would work lol

06.10.2022There ARE versions of the Prototype games on PS4/Xbox One but they are essentially ports/re-releases; just enough work went into them to make them play nice with those systems. You can get the Prototype Biohazard Bundle which includes both games and the DLC (that wasn't of any real substance) for roughly $50 digitally or on Amazon

05.10.2022I often walk to the Kakaako Book Off. They have a pretty good selections of games for the area, and the selection rotates enough that it's often interesting to check out.

05.10.2022I am maybe biased being from the Big Island. But I was born on Oahu. But you should check out the Big Island. Good selections of mom and pop shops. Also some decent arcades. Plus the scenery beautiful and very diverse. It’s not as touristy as Oahu. But you can also island hop for pretty cheap since Southwest Airlines only charges $39 dollars each way.
Storm LaRue
05.10.2022DUDE! You answered my prayers! Finally I have footage of video game hunting on the island of Oahu! TBH your like the only guy on here that has this video! Thank you so much I now have an idea when I hopefully move there one day 🙂 You rock!
