Hey Joe Rogan, here's an Idea… Yeah? Invite Russell on an Elk hunt, not to kill it, just to stalk it and get close enough, he can have an unloaded rifle, (Ya know, the thing) only this rifle has a scope cam on it, where Russell can take photos of his experience, that way he gets it, why we do it, the thrill of the hunt, the thrill of getting that close to a wild bull Elk, could weigh in a 700 Lb. Now, that would be a show… "Come-on-man" I know your think'in about it… Cheers Mate…
I am a meat eater and I hated hunting for most of my life, but it was so stupid. I had no valid argument other than people just telling me it was horrible to hunt poor animals. Because I was perfectly fine for factory farming where animals suffer, versus an animal being shot out in the wild in its element, where it lived a happy life and didn't know what was coming, Since I met my boyfriend, I now eat deer more than I eat beef because I appreciate the fact that they got to live their life free and they didn't know the hell that the poor farm animals go through. I appreciate that Russell is being realistic about it. He isn't being a crazed vegan like many are.
If you ask a lot of people who hate hunting, I promise that they had the same stupid argument I did, that it was unfair to shoot the animal while it was minding its business, but it's 100% worse what we do to cows and pigs on factory farms. I could never shoot one, of course, I can't even step on a bug, BUT… that animal lived a happy, FREE life. Seriously. Watch a video of what happens to farm animals. And I'd rather be shot and die quickly than eaten alive by a giant predator who shreds them WHILE ALIVE. I'm glad, now given the cost of meat with inflation, that my man can kill a deer or two a year and we have TONS of meat to sustain us.
I love Russell Brand. I don't agree with A LOT of what he says and believes in but he has the best approach to having the discussion. He is EXACTLY how we should all wish to be as far as accepting other opinions and having the discussions on the important issues that face us. The further polarisation of our opinions is breaking us and we need to find a way forward on the common ground we share and to manage our differences with respect and civility. Sounds impossible when I type it out though…….
I am not getting up early to do anything. Much less shot some animal. But I am 100% ok with people hurting, especially when they share a few steaks with me.
Russel Brand is a great person and i really like him alot and i love a good hunt too. nothig is set in stone, And he can eat as much grass and vegetables he wants. That's he's buisness. But iff you eat veggies grown far ahead and belive hard in the climate change, then i would just shake my head at a person. Big ships and plains getting your food in,then you are really stupid, double stupid.
I couldn't do it I couldn't point a gun and blow away a helpless animal. Sorry just couldn't do it. I mean I could physically do it but I would feels so bad for so long about killing an animal that was just miding his/her own business.
no I think Russell is talking to Joe who is a hunter and will debate it well with our Russell who wants to be his friend friend friend great wordsmith young russ leaving me behind in the conversation nearly Joe I can keep up ..
As a species, we literally wouldn't have evolved without hunting and gathering. There was an exponential growth of the human brain when humans starting cooking meat. There's no explanation necessary to defend our very existence.
joe killed a small buck and a handful of elk using guides. Turned down Steve Rinella's badass hunt because joe and bryan callen were cold🤣 That's a hunt for a lifetime..joe would 100% turn down liver..he doubted David Choe..
calling out joe to do what Liver King and David Choe did. He may know a spinning side kick but you can't perform that on a bear or any large sized creature.
The pursuit.. .the instinct.. the bounty…the sustanance… the respect for the animals sacrifice..and honestly.. the steak.Mmmmmmm ..plus six days off from work and a case of barlys. Life…the circle completed. Lefties and vegans cannot comprehend …while I cannot comprehend veggies or veganz.
What Russell could do to feel somewhat of the same experience as a hunter would be to grow his own food and see the process of that. He might already do this but would be a good idea
you can agree or disagree, like or dislike Russel BRand, but i have not seen one interview with him, not being genuine, curious and open to discussion, even if he's of a different mind than you.
Say Joe Rogan was hunting a elk. Meanwhile a hungry adult mountain lion has been stalking him for a hour. Joe sees a elk takes aim and is about to pull the trigger when suddenly he attacked and killed by the cougar. Who's the bad guy in that situation the starving lion hunting for survival or the wealthy human hunting for other reasons (enjoyment etc,) ?
I could listen to the 2 of them talk on just about any subject. I think these might be some of the best human beings on the earth. Or they are very good at faking it for money, but they feel genuine to me.
I am part Native and hunting for me is traditional, it is remembering ancestors, and it is also having respect for nature (as we are a predator in nature, humans tend to forget that). One day I will teach my kids how to hunt, but only in ways that it is healthy for the ecosystem.
I have a fate that's most likely in a nursing home bed or in a hospital bed? These elk avoid being torn apart in their old age from wolves or mountain lions and instead just get a bullet to the head, lights out, no questions? Shit – I should be so lucky. (And I ran a vegan home for 4 years…..Responsible Hunting, I believe, is the loophole to all of it.
What shifted my mind on hunting (used to be very anti-hunting, and to this day the only one I sort of have a problem with is trophy hunting), was the realisation that people who hunt animals don’t hate nature and want to feel powerful over it, they often love nature and understand the act they’re doing is a function of it.
I’ve met plenty of rural hunters fishers and fishers that probably treat animals and creatures better than my city crowd
RB is using his emotions to try and delete evolution and nature. Has to be from the UK they despise freedom over there love the truth though. Opposite here in the US love freedom terrified of the TRUTH
This is how two people with opposing view points are supposed to interact! You sit down like grown ups and talk about it respectfully! I'm so sick of BOTH sides screaming at each other calling names and acting like 5 year olds!
if hunting gear is taxed to preserve wild life .. that's a pretty good marketing strategy … a lot of hunting gear is good at home .. you can get crafty with them .. and also help wild life and provide jobs ..
We found as a family that we do not waste hunted meat like we might factory. My husband put hard work into killing this deer and packaging it that every little bit of meat is GOING to get ate and appreciated. Versus factory meat where we don’t think about it and j don’t have any connection to it other than buying it at a store
If these two combined efforts and ran the world, it would be very fair and pleasant for everyone who isn’t a douche.. take this energy into the next disagreement you have with someone..
If you think killing an animal with advanced guns is sort of like dipping your hand into nature why not grow a pair and try to kill one with bare hands and no technology. That’s actual natural way Mr Joe. You’re not a hunter but a murderer so stop being a delusional twat. Also wild animals only hunt when they are hungry and need food, maybe too much DMT or pot has ruined logic for you mate
I lived in France. Deer populations are too much, so they have small groups called The Chasse who hunt local deer and eat and share as a community. Especially poor hamlets and villages. They run inro headlights and kill many people on the roads.

28.06.2022Hunting invokes a profound sense of sympathy and gratitude for the animal, rather than mindlessly buying a packet of steak from the grocery store.
