Im not someone who hunts, nor am i someone who would ever want to hunt… but lets just be clear, hunting a free animal for food vs buying packaged meats from animals that have led likely much worse lives on a farm is significantly worse.
personally i dont care about either, i like meat im gonna keep eating it, its nothing they wouldnt do to us if the shoe were on the other foot. humans are no better than any other animal and thus we shouldnt hold ourselves to such high standards, but if i was to choose? hunted meat is definitely much more moral.
i can see people taking issue with ONLY hunting for sport, but very few hunters do this. they may be hunting just to hunt, but any hunter i know will always take the meat, even if the only reason they take up hunting is the sporting element and thus its still more morally acceptable to me. But again, i enjoy eating meat, im not gonna stop.
