I am here to prove that if you blind played old hunting games and modern indie horror games you would have a hard time figuring out which was which.

01.12.2023this is so niche we need to bring back the scary quiet hunting games. nowadays theyve got like 30 eletric guitars playing while you fall of a cliff at full speed shooting every living creature in your path

11.10.2023The old hunting games were so good. Cabelas screwed the pooch starting the mid 2000's with the on rails Call of Duty: Wilderness at War crap. By the time they tried to course correct it was too late.

10.10.2023I never played "3D Hunting – Grizzly", but "3D Hunting – Shark" was a sizeable part of my childhood. And I can absolutely confirm that that game was terrifying to play. When my brother and I would play the Great Barrier Reef level, we'd also dip into that cage/structure area because, in our experience, the sharks were unable to reach you there and you could kill them relatively easily. Nowhere else in that game was a safe zone for us.

10.10.2023I discovered this channel while I was browsing on youtube and I loved it.
I love old hunting games and horror games.
As you said, old hunting games can be really scary, almost like horror games.
I subscribed to the channel man, I'm looking forward to new videos.

10.10.2023You should check out the Alaskan Expedition expansion to Rocky Mountain Trophy Hunter. The base game is quite a calm experience where you hunt elk, bighorn sheep, moose and black bear, but the expansion adds brown bears that if they get too close will jumpscare you with a 3d model (all the other sprites are 2D) and kill you even if you're up in a treestand

10.10.2023Yeah, they were terrifying, but that's what made them fun.

10.10.2023Carnivores 2 is still THE game of my childhood, and arguably my life, something about it just clicked well with me and it sticked with me through my entire life.
Also, another instance that you didn't mention: There was a gme called Rocky Mountain Trophy Hunter: Alaskan Expedition. That game pretty much had a bear jumpscare you if it got to you, and it genuenly gave me fear of bears altogether.

10.10.2023Am I the only one who found the death scenes in 3D Shark Hunting hilarious instead of horrifying as a kid?
